Railriders Extreme Adventure Pants

I like the tac look, as the nylon Gall's ones I wear at work are called 5.11 Tactical.
Even the Deluth ones I wear have lots of pockets like a tactical pant.

Those are pretty nice, may have to look into them.
My Railriders should be showing up tomorrow.

Corey, I really think you will love your Railriders. Weatherpants are not the most attractive things but they are tops on function.

They came, I saw, they fit, I like :D
Velcro around the cuffs to get rid of the bagginess, and also "hike" them up a bit.
A little long without the Velcro to cinch them up a bit.

More than likely I will yank the belt out and use one of my three Cabelas belts I have had for awhile.

The pants also have a UPF rating of 30, something I did not see mentioned on their site.
Not to worried about not having insect repellent built in, as most bugs only go for my bare skin.
Seems I can not get away from them when camping.

Wore them after work yesterday, and breaking them in more today.
One snag is the stitching above the belt loops in the back.
It is digging into my skin big time, will have to see if I can rectify this, as it feels like someone is poking me with a needle.

Other than that I like them a lot.
Going to look into their line of shirts too that have the bug repellent in them.
Another advantage of me wearing this camping and for self portraits of me you will not have to put up seeing my super white legs as they will be covered :D
I hate wearing pants when it is warm out, but I hate bugs even more, and this way I will not have to lather and slather on repellent.
I hate having that stuff on my skin.

May wear these to work next week too to test how tough they are.
I operate heavy equipment all day long and I am in/out of various equipment dragging my clothes across dirty objects.
So far the Deluth Trading Firehose cargopants have withstood the work test just fine, as they all look brand new still after many washings and torture tests at work.

I do wish the pockets on the rear and the side cargo pockets had Velcro though, as I am not a fan of zippers.
They tend to snag on me or get stuck.
The Deluth ones use Velcro on all the pockets.

Ordering another pair of pants today in the slate color.

Their Men's Equator-HT Top with Insect Shield is on sale too, and after watching the video below, I am going to order one.
I hate resorting to covering up when camping or even taking a drive to the mountains to explore trails, but it is better than suffering.

The size I wanted it out of stock for the Extreme Adventure pants in the slate color, but I talked with the owner a few days ago, and if you order before the end of the holiday, you will get the sale price.

I also ordered a Equator HT top with Insect Shield built in good for 70 washings.

I asked about the shirts effectiveness, and he assured me bugs will stay away when wearing the shirt.
Going to give it a shot, as I hate putting on any insect repellent.
I hate the feeling of it on my skin.

Just ordered my third pair, I like these pants that much.
Got another pair in khaki, so I will have two of those, and one in the slate color.

They are also on sale right now for $84, normally $98.00.

I have that shirt (in every color) and wear it almost every day in the winter. Very comfortable and warm, you will love it! I need to try the Adventure pants. I have the Rock jeans, Eco mesh (love'em) and lined Yukon pants.

I place Railriders along with Ex Officio in quality and durability. I have been wearing some from both brands for over 15 years and they still look new.

Thanks Roger, glad to know they stand up to repeated wash and wear.
I like the pants on account of them being light weight too.

My Deluth Firehose cargo pocket work pants are nice, but the cotton is like 11.5 oz, very heavy.
They stand up very well to the punishment of work though, and water rolls right off of them.
I think they would be a little to hot to wear on a camping trip when the temps are over 80°.

I only wish the side cargo pockets were not quite so deep on the Railriders.
When squatting this morning to get something off the shelf at the grocery store, my Droid dug into my knee.
The Deluth ones have a nice cellphone/knife pocket on each leg.
I might try putting it in the hidden security pocket on the right side.

Glad to know the Force 5 shirt is good too.
I am sure I will place an order for more after trying it out.

Getting their clothing on sale too is a good way to save from the higher price.

Pardon my compulsion for spelling Corey, but you repeatedly spell "Duluth," as "Deluth." Plus you cite the web site which plainly states "Duluth Trading."

Am I just missing an inside joke? I hate being left out. ;)

Oh, and I've been a long-time consumer of Duluth Tradings clothes - top-notch construction and durability.

Nope, just a spelling error on my part :D

Yep, as far as work clothes go, I feel they are the best.
I own five pair of the Firehose pants, and they look as good as the day I bought them.

Alright then - don't let it happen again. ;)

Well, after you made such a fuss about them I had to give in and buy a pair. I agree with you - they are pretty good. I'm already a big fan of their jeans and dungarees.

Cool, glad you like them.
The snow at work today rolled right off of mine.
I was working out in the snow most of the day being on the snow removal crew at work, and the water just rolls off of these.

Kind of weird for cotton, as long ago I use to wear regular jeans, and they would have been pretty wet today, but not these.

I used to wear Rail Riders when they used to just focus on sailing apparel.
They had a line of shorts and pants with removeable foam pads in the behind that made it more comforatble to sit on the rail of a sail boat. Hence the name.

They make tough stuff
