3/4 Ton with a Cummins is in my distant (but not too distant I hope) future! I've seen your thread and am definitely diggin that truck poriggity!

Phreak, I agree! This truck is great with that limited slip and 5.7L...the sand and mud aren't scary at all in 2hi. My biggest complaint is the lack of skids on my rig!

Very nice truck!

I'm a member of the Ram 1500 club as well (though mine is a few years older and a long bed.)

nice truck

i love my 1500, shes an 03. 4 dr long bed hemi 4x4 auto. Currently am designing storage drawers for the bed that will come to the top of the wheel well with a platform covering the whole thing end to end and side to side. Also currently working on a mount for a winch behind the front bumper, the warn hidden mount only takes their smaller winches and i'm gonna stuff a 10k lb winch in there. btw she rides in 35" rubber with a fabtech 6" lift.

I'd like to do that trim on the back half of the bed...Also would love to get some 35's under there but the 33's are really taking up a lot of space at the moment.

You have any pics of those electronics mounted inside that awesome lookin truck angusdevil?

I agree...really nice with those blacked out wheels! I'm torn though...I can't live without my toolbox but occasionally I would really really like a topper on the back. Especially when I'm out camping!

I do but they aren't current. I'm in the middle of rewiring the truck and installing a new laptop to the dash. Here are a few from the last setup.

Nice! That's the same location I'm hoping to mount my CB and HAM as well...That laptop has me jealous already:Wow1:

Thanks for the pics!

Nice truck Angus. What snorkel is that you have. Expeditioneers has one for the Dodge, but I emailed them and they claimed it doesn't work with the diesel.

It is the Airflow and I got it from Kurt at The Expeditioneers. It will indeed work but they haven't really tested it until I got it. I'm working with them to make sure that it's going to be up to snuff for the diesels. I just put it on this weekend but so far, no issues what so ever. What year is your truck?

I didn't catch whether your truck was an auto or a stick, but this is where I mounted my CB:

I went through the same thing. After having a shell I'll probably never do without again. Obviously it depends on what else you use it for, but I find having a lockable shell to be invaluable. I still kept the toolbox, though. This is an older pic and I've added a few things since then:

The wheels are stock alloys that I had sadblasted and powdercoated gloss black, then I installed the newer style chrome rams-head center caps:

I've thought of doing the same thing but haven't had time to put the brain into actual work. Keep us posted when you do!

Hope we aren't hijacking your thread too much, Snafu :smiley_drive:
