Ram Hemi towing experiences?

I had a 2016 Ram 2500 with the 5.7 and it towed my 16 ft trailer over loaded with crushed limestone very well and never lacked for power. The ride was pretty rough never bothered me but the wife hated it. Over all I really like the truck until the fuel pump relay went out in the TIPM the first two rebuild replacements had different issues one threw the truck into limp mode and the other kept the dash lights on 24/7. Sucked up my pride take the truck to the dealership for a brand new factory one and a month later the fuel pump relay went out. That was the last in long line of Dodge/ram trucks of me.
Just out of curiosity, what did you replace the Dodge with and any issues with it so far?

I actually went way smaller and got a new Ranger. Like most of us 95% of the time my truck is just a bad gas mileage car. If I have any full sized duties pop up I still have a 08 1500 with a 4.7 that I bought new it will drag a lot bigger trailer than I probably should just not very quickly.

I absolutely love the Ranger by the way

How many miles were on it when this happened?

85,000 give or take and no extra electronics wired in. As much as I enjoy the builds on here and would love to go that way my budget keeps my trucks basically stock.

After quite a bit of time on the phone with the TIPM rebuilder this is not a terribly uncommon issue. Hell they built a company around it.

I’m not trying to bash dodge trucks I love them I’ve had a 2nd gen Dakota, three 2nd gen Rams, a 3rd gen Ram and the last one and I could probably still be persuaded to buy the right PW but I’d always worry about it.

The weird thing here is, 2013+ 1500's shouldn't have a fuel pump relay because the fuel pump is PWM controlled; there would be no point in having both a relay and the solid state power supply. I haven't deliberately checked for a relay on mine because it hasn't been a problem but I would expect to find no relay post-2012. Did 2500's not get PWM fuel pump regulators at the same time?

I don’t know. If they didn’t it was another problem in the TIPM because they all solved the crank no start problem just caused other issues except for the last dealer installed one and it only lasted a short while. Maybe my truck was a fluke
