hey Nate,

I will be doing some climbing and a lot of winter hiking this year in the White mtns and Adir.

I am doing some training with petra in Burlington and going to sign up with International in NH if you want to get together some time

I am planning on hitting Rainer a few times if you are interested, maybe next spring or so

good to see someone using a helmet! and nice pics

That all sounds great, but I am getting ready to leave for a Pan-American road trip. The time we leave is getting pushed back a little becasue a injury i have to my knee. As soon as that heals I'm out. And are you talking Rainer like Mt Rainer? I havent gotten a chance to do any mountaineering, but I have most of the gear that I think you would need. That might be doable for me. Dependes on what area I am in. Stay updated on the thread posted on my signature or visit the website. Let me know. I have a few friends up here that would be down to climb also.
And about the helmet, I wear it when I remember to throw it in my truck.

Excelsior!
it is on the Muir side on the DC route. The boots are the Koflach like RMI use to rent, but there mine. I climbed it in 2001 with RMI and Last Summer guideing some buddys.

Nate

Thanks! I've been up the White River/Schurman side once and up from Paradise twice. Once stayed at Camp Muir and the last time we stayed at Ingraham Flats in order to beat the crowds and sleep a little later. :) I still have my Koflach Expe (yellow) boots.

My 8 year old is starting to explore this more. She has an amazing strength to weight ratio. I'm very proud (and envious!)

Climbed the Kor Ingalls route on Castleton Tower in Moab area last week and BASE jumped off. Great climb and fun jump.

Great pics. The last one in the mist looks eerily familiar!

Also proof that tricams and nuts can be used to build an ice anchor. ;)

Some amazing pictures from the Expo crowd. I just bought a new pair of shoes and am hoping to put them to good use this winter at Joshua Tree. My climbing has been limited in the last few years and my climbing trip with Graham a few years ago was fuel to the fire to get out and do more climbing. Since then I have climbed a handful of days but made them count. I spent a few days in the White Mountains near Bishop and established a few very nice routes, one on a dome that I had been eying for several years and finally nabbed it with a Bishop local two summers back. I am hoping to get out to JT as much as possible this winter and come summer head back into the whites for more new lines. Always looking for willing partners who aren't afraid of a little exploring and bushwhacking. The fun thing about the Whites is that it requires the use of a 4x4 to get to the goods.

I had to ad a shot of my 6y/o daughter sending on our garage climbing wall:)

Away in the Wilderness, NH, 2009. The Northeast has plenty of this kind of stuff! :) I'm the puffin belaying at the bottom -- real credit to my buddy Rob at the sharp end, my other buddy Eric for bringing the camera, and finally to the sun for not destroying this south facing climb like it had the previous couple of times we bushwacked in.

Black Dike, Canon Cliff, NH, 2010. 500 feet of early season mixed emotions in that permanently shaded, frigid, cleft at the top of a brutal talus slope. Not a great place to drop a tool. Don't ask me how I know that... :Wow1:

Geographic Factor, Rumney, NH. A sport climbing mecca. A couple of guys were styling a 5.12c roof just to the left of this ice. Don't they know its winter?
