Every Miles A Memory

Brad, #3 in the series is a wall hanger for sure. That same scene is actually my desktop background on my computer, but my wife and I are in the shot

Love that area of the country!!

These are all very nice. :Wow1:
I like #3 as well- softer more even tones, and maybe the tighter crop without the darker cliffs on the right, draws the eyes to the bend.
Great shots.

On m ymonitor, #1 really pops out at you, I love that one. I will down load it when I get home. Any change of a high res for printing? PM me if possible.

Photography for me is just a fun hobby so I don't protect my images. If you go to my Smugmug gallery you can select the original full size image and download it. It's a 2000px X 1333px image size and close to MB in file size. If you need something even higher res let me know and I can email it to you.

There are several versions posted.

The Horseshoe Bend photo gave me some challenges. I wasn't happy with some of the original versions. I went back to the original one I liked and removed some sensor dust spots in the water and a piece of paper in the foreground. Then I just added a bit of contrast and adjusted the levels a tad.

I think this one is now a keeper for me.

Brad your Antelope Canyon photos are awesome. What time of day did you shoot these?

I was in Lower Antelope canyon around 9:00 AM. They said around 1:00 PM was the start of more good light but I had to run and couldn't wait Lots more shots up on my smugmug gallery. Posted above if you haven't seen them yet.

Thanks, you have a great album of photos. I used to take action stuff, but now trying to learn landscapes and still can't figure out how to master the photos. Not even sure what HDR is for sure, I am guessing a software?

Thanks for the compliment.

If you run through my past galleries you don't have to go back very far in time before you hit average snapshot galleries. LOL I have only gotten seriously focused on learning photography over the last couple years.

HDR is High Dynamic Range. You take bracketed shots with one correctly exposed, one or more under exposed and one or more over exposed then use software like Photomatix to combine the images to end up a broader range more like what you eyes can see. If not over done is will bring out the details in the shadows and tone down the over blown areas in bright light. If over done they end up looking like a cartoon painting. :)

I got your PM and will respond tomorrow when I have more time.
