Thanks. In the winter, I have many opportunities. We live on a river. This shot was a stroke of luck: the eagle was in a tree just 30 ft. from our deck. He gave me five seconds to shoot before he took wing. I was grateful.

From last night and this morning, the last of the ice on Lake Huron. In a couple of days it'll be long gone. The ships have started moving again also.

Our county has been preseverving several hundred acres around the upper reaches of the Macatawa river. Nice place for taking photo walks...
