I have mostly just driven across Wyoming on I80 and never cared for it. But I assume the pics you posted are taken in Wyoming? If so, I was wrong to think that Wyoming was just a boring stretch of road to get through as quickly as possible. I really liked your pics, and am looking forward to seeing some more of your stash. Yes most of those are wy. A few are mt as I live in the northwest corner by the border.

I80 is pretty dull mostly! Haha where I live...it's awesome the northwest corner is the best! There are 7 mountain ranges here or so. Haha

I have lots and will trickle them out as I get more homesick. Currently in St. Louis for college

I submitted a stack of photos to a UK stock library a few years ago and they rejected them because the colours were too saturated. "That's how it is" I replied but they couldn't believe it.

Wow, thanks for sharing some more of your pics. I think I recognized Ayers Rock, or Uluru is that correct? Are the other shots all in Western Australia? Did the native people ever carve or peck art on the rocks as they did here? Thanks again, I really enjoyed looking at the photos.

Thanks bad luck, and you're right one of the shots is of Ayers rock. I've added captions to locate the other pics. And I added a wheeling-oriented shot of Big Red.

AFAIK our indigenous guys mostly painted on the rocks, off hand I can't think of any petroglyphs but there may be some. The paintings are still here after 1000s of years although they were "refreshed" every generation. Here is some info on some of the most famous ones.

Thanks for the link, I find it fascinating to look at the ancient rock art. And it is quite different than you find around here.
