I know its no epic scenery from the West but heres a few shots of a duck hunt on the eastern shores (yes, we too have eastern shores) of Virginia:

Oh, and not exactly "outback" shots but I love these. Last winter, schools shut down one day (Im a teacher and I swear I want snow days more than the kids do) so I ventured into DC to snap some pics. Rangers loved that I was out in the snow and cold and let me do whatever I wanted. Oh, and no tourists made it fantastic.
Sorta reminds me of a photo in this month's National Geographic of a Giant Sequoia tree that is amazing. It's a stitch of something like 80 images, but shows the full tree's height. Its amazing.
