Thanks, guys-there's almost no post processing other than sharpening on that one. I used a reverse 3 stop grad angled with the horizon to keep some blue in the sky. Exposed for the foreground (usually the case). I actually had to desaturate the orange and yellows to match the LCD
My approach as of late is to take my time setting up the shot to get as much as possible in camera, in a single exposure- I found that I did not particularly like what I was getting with other techniques, blending etc. and it took TOO MUCH TIME. I do still bracket shots, especially when the lighting is tricky, and pick the best one; and sometimes none :(
Has it's limitations though, I suppose the trees wouldn't be complete silouhettes if I did more selective burning in post- but I'm OK with that.
 
White trillium, once an abundant Michigan wildflower, are becoming harder to find with each passing Spring.
I caught this one yesterday, poking through the remains of some fallen logs.
