Tx lets a lot of cool grey market stuff in. But whether it stays in or not is the key. I have seen a late 2000's nissan patrol diesel, some goofy vw diesel truck, a pajero diesel all with Texas plates. Heck I have even seen a bmw 116d diesel. At the dealership getting repaired.

I think the goofy VW truck you saw was maybe the new Amarok? I remember seeing one for sale in TX, wondering how it got in. Now I know Texas doesn't seem to care.

I saw this driving through Hurley, Wisconsin around 7/4 pulling an off road trailer. What an amazing looking setup!

well whoever it is, they have been known to let vehicles in and then come get them later. I heard something about it recently.

"they" is almost certainly different people and/or organizations.

Just because you speed past one cop on the highway doesn't mean the next cop isn't allowed to pull you over, or that there was some sort of conspiracy to cheat you out of your money.
