REAR mounted winch under pickup truck bed Dodge Cummins

I got a lot of questions on who fabricated the winch under the rear truck bed. I did! Im here in Arlington texas, advanced degrees in Radiology but enjoy hands on my own projects. Here are some pictures of the install to the rear of my 4x4 with ARB lockers front and rear.

I think he is running 42s". I really like this winch mount idea, I took a long look at Coopers (DPP) rear winch mount on Howitzer as well, but I prefer the fairlead to sit behind the license plate.

I really like the idea!! Best place for a winch. Unfortunately I carry my 35x12.5 full sized spare under there.

I'm considering something similar on my build.

Since I extended the frame, and am sticking with "little" 35's with a full size in the factory spare location, I have some space to fit a winch.

Probably stick to a 10k though.

Yea that’s going to be a substantial amp drop. I would consider stashing a secondary battery back there to help the winch survive. Low amps + cheap high amp draw winch motor + long pull = dead winch motor.

We have been messing around with a similar concept for a while but I want mine removable without having to mess with the hitch. I like what you did and applaud the ingenuity.

The winch is a 17 K winch... what do you mean "with the feet down?"
