RedArc Manager 30 help

I am getting a error message that my battery is under temperature -40 degrees.

The only thing I can think of is the controller was exposed to high humidity for a few days but never wet.

Is there a fix? I've disconnected the power but no change. Thanks in advance.

Reach out to Redarc, they are really good at responding. If I remember correctly the original Redarc BMS30 was issued in the US under the Australian spec BMS30 and there were problems with low temperature issues, Redarc now has a specific North America version for the BMS30. I believe they were able to provide a fix to the early customers.

That specific temperature issue they had was just a few degrees off.. Was preventing lipo's from charging when it was still just above freezing.
-40 is likely the lowest it will display.. So, something is broken. Or possibly disconnected.. Be sure the temperature sensor negative terminal thing is plugged in to the controller.

I really like the redarc, but am afraid of it failing.. It's an all eggs in one basket situation. Where as people w/ a separate DC/DC for alternator, separate solar, and separate shore charging devices can still find another option if one of the three things dies.

A valid point
