Removing Gen 3 Trim

Has anyone done this I am new to the forum and Mitsubishi ownership have 2001 xls OME lift ordered :ylsmoke: some of the door "trim" (tan rocker panels and integrated mud guards) are a little ruff so wondering if I can take them off and if so what it will look like underneath. Would likely then spray bed-liner on to replace and protect. Any help especially pics would be great. Will post pics of mine once I start mods.

I haven't removed the rocker panels or the mud flaps, but I looked into completely removing the mud flaps.
If you pull the rocker panels, there may be some body work to be done. I think there are holes for receiving plastic clips that you'll have to fill, sand, and paint. Removing the mud flaps leaves holes in the body as well. I opted for cutting the mud flaps, so they don't hang down as far. Then I sanded all of the plastic trim- rocker panels, wheel well trim, and rear bumper plastic. Wiped it down with acetone, and shot it with bed liner.
