Hi folks,

I've contacted Tepui twice about purchasing a replacement cover but have yet to hear back (Benefit of the doubt -- I only sent the second inquiry yesterday).

I've got about 60 thousand kms with our RTT on the roof, including a harsh Canadian winter, using it on-and-off throughout. The cover is after all this showing some use and abuse and is actually holed in a couple of places.

Any suggestions for repairing this cover while I await finding a replacement?

Regards
Craig

Got a hold of Tepui today and they are sending me a replacement cover. From Santa Cruz to Canada, shipped, it came out to $188 bucks.

Still, I'd like to fix the old one so if anyone has suggestions I'm all ears. The cover appears to be made of PVC.

Cheers
Craig

You can do what I've done: needle and thread + Plastidip on the backside of the repair. Works pretty good, looks ugly as hell, LOL

Good idea on the Plasti-dip.

I think now that I have a new cover coming, next season I'll install it and keep the old cover as repair material. Sew it on as needed, and silicone the seams. Should work!

Regards
Craig

You could alaways get an upholesteror to make a new one out of sil canvas or like. Not sure how alike my Mombasa cover and a Tepui are though.
