RHD BJ44 on Portland CL

Nice truck, but I am personally not a fan of the 2B engine. It was originally only available in Japan so parts on this side of the pond are tougher to come by.

You........... Bastard............

I want that thing so badly I'm contemplating selling my 4Runner. The GF is now not happy with me. 2b Be damned, I've been lusting over a 44 since I found out they existed. It is to me the PERFECT 40 Series Cruiser.

Nice find and I know the guy's who run the shop so I may be looking at it in person this week.

Cheers

There is another one for sale in Mountain Home, Idaho. I know the guy who owns it. He is asking 18,500. Looking at the pictures of the one in Portland this one is a lot nicer.

LOL... I saw one with Australian plates in Newport about 4-5 months ago and it was very sweet. This one looks exactly like it so I imagine it is the same one. The one I saw in Newport was in GREAT shape. Keep us posted on what you find out... I know if I had 18 bones lying around, it would be mine! :violent-smiley-031:

HA yeah, I'm going to ask LCNW about it, but oddly enough, I think my buddy bought his BJ40 from the same guy. He had the exact saame truck and I was drooling all over it. Looking at his location, I imagine it's the same guy. I really want this thing, but convincing the other half that I need to throw 18K at an old 4x4 with no AC might just be too big a challenge eh.

Cheers

I love my 2B

I love my 2B.

Yeah parts are a bit harder to find, but with the Toyota EPC, I have all of the part numbers and a lot of the 3B stuff interchanges after 8/80.

I like it because it is a slightly smaller displacement (3.2 VS 3.4) but higher compression (21:1 VS 20:1) and therefore gets a bit higher efficiency for the same power vs a 3B.
