Rigid Industries LED Light Bars

I want to see one of these in action. I can't just picture them being bright as regular offroad lights. Are their pictures of these being used at night?

I'd be very interested to see how the 10" stacks up against something like the LightForce 240 or Hella Rallye 4000 HID.

We'll be heading out next week to take some comparison/action shots.

Nice that you can hit 'em with a 2x4 or shoot at them, any pics or vids that show how the light output compares to conventional Halogen or HID lights.

Ask and you shall receive!

The output from these is amazing, a 30" bar would be perfect for the roof of my 4Runner! Just a little expensive though...maybe when I win the lottery?

Hi Wil

Would it be possible to integrate them in a fibreglass camper or do they get as hot as the cooling fins suggest?

We are looking for something that can beintegrated in the front but also something on the sides and back both as working lights and for night driving.
LED's are ideal because of the low power consumption.

They could be cool integrated in this:

Thanks!

The LED lights would be perfect for this application. The cooling fins are very efficient. If there is any airflow, they will be cool to the touch. If the light will be recessed into fiberglass or any enclosure for that matter, a small amount of space around the light will allow for sufficient cooling. Max. temp would be somewhere in the 110-120 degree range.

Flyingwil.. I noticed a spelling error on this page of your site.. Didn't look at others. Just thought i'd let you know if you weren't already aware. Look where it's listing the pro's to the reflectors, "Much Father Projection"

Without a doubt - impressive light output!

Without a doubt - way to expensive! $1400 for an auxiliary light? :Wow1:

Ever driven an Alaskan highway at night? Better yet.. You ever seen the size of Moose in Alaska? Or perhaps baja'ing down a road in the deserts of BFE at 2am, while trying to find 'that one' turn off that you vaguely remember from 2 years ago so you can finally set up camp?? Search and Rescue applications?

There are a number of circumstances where I can see one justifying these lights. I would not consider the more expensive one (30"+) auxiliary.. They are high performace driving lights at that point.. :)

Call it what you want it. If you NEED amazing light, or have money to blow, these would be ************. Wish I had money to blow :)

Nice job with the photos Wil. :costumed-smiley-007

I think a small light bar ould make a sweet back-up light mounted up near the top of the shell.

Chuck, they would be great for that. You can add a dimmer to them so you could have them on full bright for a reverse light and then dim them down accordingly for camp set up. Just cool.

Edit: Here is Josh and Heidi's FJ with VisionX LED bars where they did similar with the VisionX led bars:
