rip apart this truck

Ok I want a crew cab Short Bed. I found a 1984 Chevy crewcab 2500. It has a tired 350 turbo 350 and a 205. Hd dana 44 and a 14bolt rear 410 gears. the fram was shortend farily well I could make it better. The use of the truck haul my family a quad and tow my jeep. Total load not much.

I have looked at newer trucks but I can justifey the cash for a 8-10k just to sit in my yard.

Well you asked...

First the good; its a good project rig! Pretty good combo 350/400/205.

For the bad; not a big fan of the "needs lots of work" and 12" wheels are just asing for bearing replacements on that 44. The 91 body style is cool but I don't like shade tree replacements. You don't know what you might be stepping into.

I'd say find a better truck that doesn't need a lot of money or one that somebody that is just bored with and looking to off load it.

But if its want you want... forget the comments and Go For It.

that truck was for sale on another craigslist a while back but had a dana 60 and alot of extra NEW interior pieces and was just built. looks like the guy selling it now stripped the good stuff and is trying to sell it for what he paid for it.

1984 chevy 1 Ton Crewcab 4x4, Shortbox, "91" front clip, small block engine, turbo 400, 205 transfer case, new 6 inch lift, stainless rocker panels still in box, stainless fenderwell molding, dark tint suburban windows for back doors, runs and drives, needs to be finished, to many projects don't have time. Asking $2500.00 will deliver for a fuel charge,

yep same truck has not had a 60 in his owner ship

looks like a not too bad rig. not worth $2500 though. I would say $1500.
