Birds will snatch about anything off of a table if they think they can get away with it. So will dogs. I can deal without birds but dogs seem to like me. Some call me the dog whisperer. One neighbor has a Red Heeler that follows me home. Other neighbors have four dogs that stand it the gate and demand attention from me. Just scratch them in the right places. When I was growing up, our Dachshund and Black lab would go nuts and about two minutes later, Bernice would come around the corner in her GMC pickup.
Deer, Bobcats, Elk and Rattlesnakes all liked her. She shot everything, A shotgun for the snake.

Lets see, birds taking things out of your hands. Dogs will grab anything they can get and some people have a relationship with animals. I'm happy I didn't bring up how a friend accused me of stealing his Border Collies affections.
Sorry if you feel that I diverted your thread.
Perhaps a shot or two of vodka was involved, I type better after a few.
Some people think I am totally crazy and some get it right away. A lawyer friend loves my emails as she likes how my mind sees other ways to look at things.
Going to keep my mouth shut at this point.

No problem unamonkey. Just was little confused by the post but now that you've clarified.....it's all good.

It took me a minute but I saw how my post may have made you wonder.
Back when I had to do stratographic columns for geology. (drafting) I had a couple of beers so I could letter them and they could be read.
I hope you understood the directions to the steak taco stand. Crap, now I'm getting hungry...
Its like back in my carpenter days. Step back, take a look and see if there is a better way to approach this rather than a full frontal assault. It worked with construction, welding, wrenching, and riding motorcycles, or driving off road.
A few years ago I was going up a dirt road about 50MPH on my XT 550 and found it took a turn over the top of the hill. Got the bike horizontal, bounced off the hill and landed on the wheels. so much for prior planning. Slow ride back to the motor home for a few beers.
Good luck in your travels.

About your bike. I sold both of my Xt 550s to a neighbors son for about half of what they were worth. About a month ago he said he had lowsided on a bike and of course I asked how he was. You could near drop one of them Yamahas off of of a high rise building before you could hurt them.

Just sold my 2007 Suzuki 650 Strom two days ago. That bike was the same, you couldn't kill it. Probably one of the best bikes I've ever owned. I had some great trips on it and it will be missed but I'm slowly paring down the bikes. Now trying to sell an XR650L.

The Yammers were fun but I felt too old to really ride bikes anymore, especially if you rode in the crazed way I used to do. The built '98 Harley is still sitting in my garage waiting for the guy to come pick it up. I never touched a friends 1148 cc Suzuki full face bike. His stepson referred to it as the Ninja killer. It can.
