Nat, lordhelmet and Corey...thanks..much appreciated! :)

Brad..pm the home addy coz I'm only over budget 3-4 G's...:ylsmoke:

Matthewp...make her one...what the hell..:coffeedrink:

Trying to gain some semblance of order around here...I've had stuff strewed all the garage, basement and backyard.

I figured out the issue with the gas stove...I needed to run a full size regulator to it, the throw away (1# bottle) type connection doesn't send enough gas to it. Boiled water in minutes.

Cleaned out the inside and decided to chuck a pc. of rug down, and organize the boxes a bit better. Also, I needed to measure the front hatch to determine the size of the material needed to finish the tent portion of the hatch off.

Here's a few of the back cleaned out ...the electric panel and converter...and the portion of the inside with the water tank and battery storage area. The 3 - 2 x 6 's are used to make the lower sleeping area. The plywood was removed to install the rug.

WOW!! Really nice build thanks for sharing . All i can say is WOW!

WOW!! That is such a cool, well thought out and simple build. Not simple to build, but the finish design looks clean and simple!!

Awesome job!

Thank you guys...I'm sorry to say thanks so late!

Nicer weather has enabled me to be able to get the trailer from around the back of the house which is historically wet, but even after the snow melt, has dried up earlier then expected.

So the ROAM made it to the front driveway...woohoo!

First up was completing the tent section for the lift up hatch. It was made in the basement last month. Next was wrapping up the 120v and some addtional 12v lighting and plugs.

Then I had some stickers I wanted to get on. The drop down kitchen makes it a bit difficult trying to keep the layout symetrical, so I saved my large Expo stickers for some prime real estate on the nose panels.

Also added some LED lighting unde the fold down kitchen top, and had some aluminum shelves bent up to open up some counter space. I used some of the sticky back puck LED's under the shelves.....nice and simple,

Got to get a quick 3 day run in to see how things worked. After setting up the awning for the second time I've come to the conclusion I need to move it from the rack that holds the RTT, and locate it on some brackets on the side of the camper......it's just too tight.

Another fly in the ointment is the annex just barely reaches the ground, so I need to sew an extension on it, and add some addtional stake down points. Stepping into the back door is a bit of a pain, and I'm sure it would be difficult for a child.

Outside of that, the kitchen area is very user friendly, the portable grill worked great, and the Engel kept the Yuengling ice cold. I made much better time packing and unpacking, and feel confident it'll improve with each setup.

the FRP

How did you find using the FRP over the wood? I was thinking of something similar for a small project.

thanks

I actually liked it, this is the second trailer I used it on. I used spray contact adhesive, and rolled it after to ensure a good bond.....just as you would apply formica to a kitchen countertop. On 1/2' ply it seems pretty indestructable.

The one down side is it is not UV stable, so I sanded it lightly, applied Rusoleum Plastic Primer, and a coat of Silver oil based as a top coat.

I think the next one I'll use Filon.

Thanks Funrover!!

Looks pretty sweet. It sounds like your mods should not be too big a deal. Just a little fine tuning.

What kind of chairs are you using in the photos? My Alps are getting old and beat up and those look well made and comfy.

Thanks Brad! The chairs are LL Bean, and I'm here to tell you they do hold 300+, so I'm pretty happy with them. Very stury and substansial. One down side is the back kind of slides over the upright post, and doesn't really slide off, but you have to use two hands to move them. I like the little bag and drink holder on the side.

Funny you would ask, we just ordered two more tonight because everyone that sits in them, likes them.

Here ya go! http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/63602?feat=2-SR0

Thanks guys....still working out some bugs, but all in all pretty happy, but I wonder if it'll ever be done.

Added some Rotopax to the nose...2 - 2 gallon models with locking handles from TRDParts4U....it'll buy me some extra generator run time out in the wilds if need be.

I'm running out of exterior real estate to mount much more....
