Roofnest

Hello all, long time lurker first time poster.

I’ve searched and read most of the threads here about Roofnests vs other brands. It seems as though early variants had some quality control issues , but they’ve been through multiple revisions and hopefully have worked them out.

Does anyone have more to up to date info / reviews for current roofnest products?

Im looking at a lightly used one for a good price so other brands aren’t really in the running. I haven’t actually seen the unit in person yet , any known problems to look out for?

I have a Roofnest Sparrow. I like it, but it's not the easiest to collapse/close. I've made some custom modifications that make it easier, but my wife still has trouble.

Wedge style ones or iKamper style ones are all functionally straight forward.

Well, I ended up with a sparrow eye 2, in good shape for a decent price. I’m happy with it for the most part , I think I’ll be changing out the mounting brackets but lucky me I have a mill or 5 at my disposal.

Got my first rtt and it’s a roofnest falcon pro 2. Got it used on marketplace. The driving factor was the price and it was 15 minutes away from me.

Only had it a few days now. But I set it up and left it out for the tropical rainstorm that just went through the Carolina’s yesterday. Basically no water came inside, just condensation buildup on the walls. It’s super easy to setup and take down. There is considerably less room inside it than some of the other tents out there. I do like the rear portion that kicks out. It helps keep a little bit of the rain off you when you’re trying to get in it.

Circling back for others.

Had my sparrow eye for a year and couldn’t be happier with it. It’s comfortable , easy to setup , and I don’t really have many complaints about overall design. I don’t know if I’d buy a new one but I got mine used for a price I’m very happy with.
