Kinda reminds me of a station wagon on a 4x4 frame you might find in Wasilla!!!! Come on Pete deep down you know it reminds you of home, weather that be southern Cali or the valley

Oh it reminds me of home, no doubt about it!!! Maybe I should do it to one of my rangies! I could fit right in!

Love the look, but would be much cooler with a front mount Rover v8.

Just cause I might not agree with the idea, I can appreciate the work put into it.

What a sack of ****! Why people go around lowering cars other than genuine racers is beyond me anyway, but to create an off-roader with less than an inch ground clearance is just a waste of materials, money and time. You wouldn't even be able to drive such a thing on European roads as they're not smooth enough for the bodywork not to hit the tarmac.

I love it. Finally a Land Rover I would own.

:)

I'd drive it, I'd probably drop it on a S-10 frams and a LS V-8.. but cool none the less.

Well, it was insensitive and seemingly ignorant, but hateful? Seems like some are too quickly offended. A bit oversensitive.

As for the Rover, I wouldn't bother to build it, but I'm more than willing to drive it.

The more I look at it the more I like it.

I almost always owned an fj60, but also have always "needed" a low well handling vehicle for a daily driver/commuter. So one of my long term ideas has always been a 2wd v8 6 speed fj60. Kind of like the new ford flex but with my favorite body of all time.

Most people will HATE it, but I will Love it.

I think it's cool because it's unique and innovative.
It is something different that combines the designers interests in to one finished vision.
There is plenty of room for traditional and imaginary vehicles!

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the long hiatus without coming back to post. Army life = living in mud and muck out in the woods every now and then.

Seems that a wide range of emotions were spurred by this Rover/VW creation. I can agree that it is definitely unique and takes a large amount of skill to complete such a customization, that however you look at it, is keeping that old Rover body/VW drivetrain on the road instead of in the scrap pile. Personally, I would spend my money elsewhere.

I thought you had secure facilities in USA for holding such people who concieve of doing things like this

I thought so too but then again we have television programming like "the Kardashians" or whoever they are...

I am having trouble controlling my bitter rage right now.

Put on floppy shoes, orange wig, red rubber ball nose, and go find a parade...

I think I just threw up in my mouth....

Thanks to these three quotes above, I literally had beer come out my nose.

Look at it this way. Chances are the rest of the original series rover was probably nothing more than a heap of rust and broken parts. This guy put what was left to good use rather than sending it to the scrapper where it would be turned into Budweiser cans. On one of the military jeep forums I used to frequent there was always some sort of banter about "Bubba" doing this or doing that to some poor vintage jeep. What they forget is if it weren't for "Bubba" many of these vehicles wouldn't be around in any shape what so ever.

Ye hath spoken truth on this day.
