Rovers on the Rocks Video part 1

That gold D1 has been around for years... Therefore I cannot understand why, at an event like this, he needs limb risers, 4 (maybe 5) 5-gallon Jerry Cans, sand ladders, and a 1650 series Pelican Case strapped to the roof. Probably driving with an 1/8 of a tank of fuel so he can be even more top heavy.

I mean, yeah, probably not -- but like I said earlier, if looking cool was 0% of the equation, we wouldn't be in Rovers. :sombrero:

Expo'd out, maybe, but you have to admit that's a ************ looking rig. And maybe he wanted to see how far he could take it with full kit? He probably has a pretty good idea of the angle limits now. :smiley_drive:

DII auto trans.

It was his new shop truck. Really nice with some cool things done to it and it did really well on the course, unfortunately with a different driver. When Justin go in, he lost all forward progression and retained reverse.

I dont think the owner of the D1 babies it at all. He wasnt putting on a show. I believe he legitimately drives it like that all the time.

Got pics of that too. Kinversand is my new favorite color. Two weeks prior to the event this truck was a parts car sitting under a tree covered in sap. Justin pulled a miracle getting that truck ready for the event.

And no, that gold D1 is never babied.

That is a nice colour. Kind of a burnt orange, but not as obnoxious. Looks like he has the same problem with mud in his right headlight that I do. Why is it always the right??? Hmmm...

HAHAHA I have basically the same picture. I wonder who was crapping his pants more - him or that judge!

Here were some of the videos I took from the event, if anyone wants to see full runs (including "the other" winning run in Justin's truck from the inside-the-truck POV):

Yeah, it is a nice truck and was running some nice rubber that would require a good amount of lift on a D1. What ended up being the problem with the trans?
