Something to consider if you still have flexibility with the mount: If you move the RTT towards the back a bit, you will have room at the front for a storage unit. Lockable, weather sealed place for recovery equipment, tools, etc and very reasonable in price. It also then gives a nice hard-mount location for future upgrades like compressors, second batteries and a power block.

It's monted on a diamondback truck cover. Which doubles to carry my ATV. It has wings front and rear that open. As it is moved forward, I can still open the rear. However, not completely, but almost half.
I have yakima tower's holding it to the diamond back "adapter" rails.
Long term, I am looking to use a Thule TP42 on the roof. Then have the ability to mount it on the roof or on the cover. When I have the ATV on the cover I can have the tent on the roof. I will use the same cross bars, but different towers.

OK, I understand what you're doing and the mounting position makes more sense with the way the cover opens. Not too many people here carry ATV's on their truck so my mind didn't even go that direction. Lots of trucks with ATV's like that around here.
Just watch your center of gravity with the ATV and then a tent on the roof. The truck will be very top heavy - especially on any trails.

It is not to bad. It lowers my MPG a few and you can't do any crazy driving.
I have driven several 100 mile round trips and a few 1000+. No problems.

Thats understandable. Not many people carry ATV's like this anyway.
Additionally, I would like to build a chuck wagon box, or pull out kitchen from the under the rear of the tailgate also.

Sorry about the delayed response.
It is an Ezi-Awn 1400. The tent isn't at my house for the winter. But I will measure it by Thanksgiving, at the latest.
I have the ATV package on a Diamondbackcover with Line-X.
I clamp the Yakima system to the ATV adapter bars.
