The video is worth watching: http://www.camprtv.com/MediaGallery/Videos.aspx

It's an interesting product, although I think it's overall length with the rooms attached limits it's use. Tough to pull into a campground and setup at anything but an RV pull through.

It also has no floor as far as I can see and I don't believe you could easily mount a roof rack to the camper structure due to the way the storage doors open.

It has a floor but it's pretty dang expensive. I looked into it a few months ago when I was shopping.
I don't like the whole it's-just-a-glorified-ground-tent thing really...

I'd like to see what Martyn and Mario could do with these:

I think it is perfect for a family like Colorado Ron. A large family would need that kind of room. Even a family of six could benefit from the room.

Have you seen one in person Scott? Thoughts on what it's like in the wind or rain?

I realize I'm not the target market, but it seems like a solution without a problem to me.

I have seen it in person, and all of it is really great quality. I think the target will be larger families that overland and groups of hunters. It is the ultimate mobile hunting cabin.

You know as a hunting cabin it has potential. You could drag your catch right in and clean it inside depending on the size. Didn't think of that.

Better yet, it would make an AMAZING ice fishing setup!

I like the icehut idea, but if ya can't pack it on a mule, it ain't huntin' camp material.

Pack it in on a mule? What about pack it in on your back? Actually we've started using horses & mules the last couple of years as those 100+ lb packs going into camp are getting a bit much for this 45 year old body. We still hunt on the quads the Good Lord gave us though.

I like the trailer but I think if your going to tow something that big you might as well have a hardside enclosed trailer with maybe a tent extention off the back. That way you could live in the main compartment with say 2 or 3 people & then deploy the extention when there are more along for the trip. My thinking is that then all the systems like kitchen & potty etc... would need no set up but you'd still have room out of the weather to feed, sleep, etc lots of people. Any idea what one of these loaded would cost?

Drash brought a number of disaster relief products and did a demo in our parking lot back in June; the tents are robust enough to live in for extended periods. It's all very mil-spec and intended for severe service. Some of their gensets are large enough to power a village.

I'd rather not cook indoors though; the kitchen on this thing deploys directly into the bedroom. I can't see how retaining food odors in your sleeping quarters can be very good in bear country. No matter how durable the tent is, it's still a soft-sider.
Again, with a large enough party, that's a moot point; the noise and motion of a crew will keep the predators away. But a romantic get-away could turn into something more adventurous...
