Ruger Trailers Denver

I think I need a bigger truck!
I am into mine for about $2500 now with all the remediation work I have done, and adding the lid/hardware etc? I looked for something like you make, and then someone called and said they had an M101 CDN for sale... SOLD!!

Thanks Ace. We plan to integrate front load racks it into our expedition frame and tongue rack. There have been a few items with higher priority such as the expedition frame and the mulit-directional hitch.

As far as the bar above the tailgate, we don't want to mess with that. The tube is an integral part of the support system for our tub. I'm not sure if I've posted pictures but we can and have loaded a 4 wheeler on top of our lids. We are thinking of selling a trailer without a lid for a lower price though, with this design we could possibly do away with the cross support and treat the trailer more like a pick-up.

I hope you might reconsider making the cross bar removable. I was thinking of a bolt-in bar that can be removed when you need to haul something tall like a tool box from Lowes. Them replace it for off-road or any HD useage. Better yet why not extend the tailgate the full height of the tub with heavy duty clamps to hold it all together like older pickups used? I'd really like to see this trailer available as dual purpose: off-road recreation and utility.

Earlier "exciting changes" was mentioned. Would this be the expedition frame? Sounds good!

Yes, the expedition frame was one of the changes that I really liked. More to come.

You never know, we might find that a bolt on bar is more popular than we think later down the road. As far as a mulit-purpose utility trailer...we have been designing one. A very different design but will be a bit larger with more gargo room that is sectional. I know the description is a little vague but cahnges are still being made.

And anytime your in Denver let me know, we'd love to show you what we have going on !

What is the opening height?
Will you be able to slide a cooler in or will you need to lift the lid to remove it.
I guess you could place it on the tongue.

Nice design.

Knowing that this comes with a cost, any plans to make a raised lid (like the aftermarket ones we see on the m416s and m101s)?

I can't remember the dimensions off the top of my head. I will post on here Sunday or Monday when I get to the shop next. Going wheeling this weekend !

Any info/specs on the "expedition frame"? Or did I miss it somewhere?????

I'll post some pics on here, there aren't any posted here. They are on my facebook page along with many more not in this thread.

Only photo on my phone of the expedition frame.

We can cover it with aluminum, stainless, cold roll steel , expanded iron, or bolt on a rack to fit.

Yes. Or raise the sides up a bit. The box only appears to be 18-20 inches (am just guessing off the photos). That's about the same height as my fridge. Spending a tad more up front to get that little extra room could make a huge difference down the road.

Tub height is 18". How tall is your fridge, exactly ? We can 'make' extra room in the tub for a fridge if need be. I'm thinking drop the tub floor 2" between the frame and make it fit like a glove...

Fridge is at home. I know it's about 1-2 inches higher than the rear tub of a JK (I had to raise my rear deck on my old JK to accommodate it). It's probably right around the 17" mark - so it would likely just fit.

Great, keep in mind that there is another 1.25" underneath the lid too. Sounds like it shouldn't be a problem.
