I don't know if this is true information, but I had heard some where that the owner of SafariGard was re-activated and is currently on Operational Deployment. However, I cannot confirm this is true, or accurate, but it would certainly explain why SafariGard isn't reachable.

Beat regards,
Dave

call the guys at West Coast Rovers for whatever info you need. If you are looking for bushings, contact Randy on the d-90.com board.

This was definitely true a few months ago, and I have heard nothing to indicate that it's changed. Could not have been worse timing for him, after all the start up work he did reactivating the company's product line!

I've heard there was some pretty promising D3 stuff in the works. I'm sure everything will get back on track when he returns home.

Well, I dont know about that as there has been a ton of speculation for a long time. Im looking at buying another 95 D1 to build while I drive the one I have now and then switching the suspension over to the new(er) one once done. I would love to find a copy of installation instructions with information like torque specs, etc...

Anyone?

You'd think he could have somebody else run it while he's gone?

I've gotten a good first hand look at his LR3/D3 front bumper and rock sliders. I know he was working on lift options, and I think he was also working on a rear bumper and some skids (gas tank?). Casey was also developing a bunch of stuff for Toyota's and reintroducing a few bits for Jeeps.

Rob, that's terribly presumptuous, don't you think?

I don't get what you mean?

If I were in the military, and could be deployed at any time, and was trying to set up a business, I'd set it up so that the business could continue operating if I was gone. Or I wouldn't start it. It just seems like a big risk to take.

It can be a hard life. I live near a base, and apparently the wive's of the soldiers typically can't get jobs. Nobody will hire them because they get moved around so much.

Sometimes even retired military get re-activated on extrememly short notice. My step-dad is a retired USMC Major and now continues to work for them as a civilian engineer. He got deployed to Iraq as a civilian three times post-retirement. Stuff happens.

It's not like SafariGard shut down business to go golfing!
