I'm with Corey. For the money, the Xpress lounger arm chair would be hard to beat. Get them from Wil at Sierra Expeditions (or Bass Pro Shop).

Ok, I am tired of these garbage chairs and tables. I just returned a set of chairs to REI that lasted only two trips before failure. So, I am curious if any of you have come across an importer of Safari/Expedition grade camp furniture. Canvas, wood, steel, etc., with no plastic.
Are you still looking for these items or have you gone with something else? I have been looking for the same type of thing.

Yes I really am dredging up this old thread! I am looking for roorkhee chairs. Anyone have any new info on local places that are more reasonable? I sent a request to melvil and moon just out of curiosity.

We have been hard at work field testing the new chair. (Punta Arena de la Ventana, BCS)

We should have it together by sometime this Fall. I will let everyone know when we can take orders.

Hurry Mike Hurry....there is some serious desire in the marketplace for your chairs.

I got lucky and found 3 original British Army Roorkhee chairs on ebay from a London antique dealer a few years back for around $100 plus freight.

Thanks Mike! They look excellent! I am trying for the original safari gear but I fear cost will keep that a dream.

I will keep searching and hope yours are available soon!

Just to follow up on the M&M inquiry, theirs are $430 each plus shipping from SA.. That probably is not happening!

Looks like I am going to pick up a couple of mikes chairs and going to build a couple of the roorkhee chairs for myself.

You can make you own or I sell them for $55+ material, pine, oak or maple.

We are getting closer to production. I will certainly post when the chairs are ready to be ordered. Starting up a new product takes time, attention, and money.

Just spent a couple of days in Hailey, Idaho with my 'team' and we have tooling done, doing final tweaks to stainless hardware, ordering wood, etc. Some items are longer lead time. Then, or course, we have to build them. Design is finalized, we are working on options, etc.
