Sahara off-road expedition, 5 months in 2CV 4x4

Hello everyone,

I am French, in love with the desert regions of the Sahara, with one particularity: I travel in a single vehicle, a Citroën 2CV with a 602 cc engine.

Its lightness allows me to cross all the dunes and to go where no 4x4 can venture, in particular thanks to its low consumption and its main tank of 360 liters.

20 years ago I wrote a guide to the Mauritanian Sahara for 4x4s, when I had done the scouting in a 2CV 2x4.
Today I leave with a 2CV tinkered in 4x4, which allows me to go even further.

I am happy to make you discover today the first episode of my 5 months of travel. Here it will be the Saharan coast, where the dunes meet the ocean :

Indeed, the Sahara is truly fantastic.

But I saw that you are from Australia, also fantastic, and maybe one day I will take my 2CV there to explore your dunes and wild spaces and your parks like Fraser Island! !
