I ordered 4xGuard front skid and belly guard on sunday. As that what you mean by front plate.
Yeah, where the front license plate is. You have a blank box. We Ohioans
have to have a front plate. You could put a front plate on it that s says
"MOVE" backwards so people seeing you in thier rear view could read it.

Oh ya that thing, were not even issued a front plate here :smiley_drive: I haven't given that area much thought, I might have to poke around a little and see what pops up.

I'm definitely digging the cut front bumper, mine is about to fall off from wheeling at rausch creek and I need to do something like this....hmm

Wow, I was skeptical about your bumper trimming based on that picture taken in you garage, but that looks great!

I trimmed my ZJs bumper in a similar fashion and I think it made a big difference. Still managed to rip it off while running Golden Spike though.:sombrero:

Thanks for all the kind words guys. My wife was having a hear attack when I was planing the cuts out. Now she likes the new look as well.:victory:

I wasn't liking the bumper trim in the garage shots either. Finished product looks sharp. First time I've looked at your build, liking what I see, keep the updates coming.

No duct work for the vents? I guess that is why almost nothing comes out of them.

Great idea on the inverter. It looks like my WK has the same exact center console, I may have to pop off the back cover and check it out...

No there is duct work for the vents there. You should be good because thats were I got the idea from was a WK build thread.

4xGuard Skids

I mounted 4xguard front skid and belly guard as well as recovery hooks today. The front skid finished my trimmed bumper off real nice and my cats are protected now with the belly guard.

Second Battery

Well got the wife a new yellow top today which meant I got her old battery. So I started carving up the stock air box to fit the wifes battery in it. :( what a pain in the butt if I would of got a yellow top for myself it would of slid right in. LOL Any way I got it trimmed up then broke it after trimming for about 30 minuets. LOL Anyway I got it installed I'm not satisfied about the box, I think I'm going to get a shelf welded in to hold the batter instead. Anyway here are some pics I didn't get around to wiring it up yet. I'm going to rewire the XK from scratch and run all my accessories to the spare battery.

My dremel setup I love this little thing great tool

I'm considering this mount temporary thats why I didn't cut the end of my strap yet and just tied it up.

I have considered that same location. Walmart and other places sell battery
boxes. The is somewhat of a tray there I think you could mount the box to.
I would get a battery isolater and select switch....marine dealers would carry
those. what is on the other side of the shock tower? If that is that still empty
you could use a radio shack project box

6 x 3 x 2 (270-1805) and mount 4 12VDC/40A SPST (275-001)
pRS1C-4505486w345.jpg

Automotive Relay's in it.

I would screw the front on and glue it the cut the top off and hinge it.
That would power driving lights and back lights. Also attach your power inverter
to that battery.
