The Saline Valley and the surrounding area is truely a diverse playground for the conquistadors of the the unexpected. I was just sitting here today thinking of all the activities I have done that one would not think of when they think of the Saline or Death Valley area. Ive skied knee deep powder off the flanks of Telescope Peak and even carved turns down the Grapevine on the South side of the Saline. Rock climbing in secluded canyons on the Inyo's and White Mountains. Discovered roads that have not seen a wheel in decades. Found indian living circles with obsidian chips left where they fell hundreds of years ago. Found pieces of fine china that some early pioneer thought would be a nice touch in her new home in California, if only she knew
Finding turn of the century Levis in a mine that turned out to be worth more than my Defender:wings:
Anyway, I'm gearing up for another season of wandering and exploring. See you out there.
