There are two different springs on U.S. spec Samurais. The `86-87 was slightly stiffer than the `88-`95 springs. I want to say by about 15-20% but I'm not certain that I am remembering that correctly.
My old Canadian spec LWB SJ-413 (MY85) had the underhung overload leafs in the rear. They were about the same as the `86-`87 springs until the overload came into play.
Is there a reason why you want to know the rate? They are perfectly fine in SOA configuration if you were wondering about that - until they get pretzeled of course.
