Scepter can racks

Anyone know of a source for single or double fuel can holders that will work with Scepter MFC. I am looking for some to attach to a Front Runner roof rack. Many suppliers say their can holders won't work with Scepters but the cans seem basically the same size as my Nato cans, I do know they expand a little with heat so may that is the problem. Thanks for any infomation.

I had a thread thread about this very subject a while back. The conclusion at the time was that the Hannibal carriers would work with a small modification. I've seen Front Runner fuel can holders with Scepters, but it seems like the tolerances are very close and some also report that their Scepter cans do not fit in the Front Runner fuel can holder.

I am also looking to buy a Front Runner rack. I think pretty much any can holder should be relatively easy to mount to the Front Runner cross bars using the t-slots.

The baja-rack jerrycan holder works according to reports I've seen.

You're right, I believe the Baja Racks can holder does work as well. There was a question about whether it would work with the Scepter water cans that have the small spouts on the lid though.

I've more or less put the Baja Rack holder out of my mind because I prefer the quick release mechanisms of the Front Runner and Hannibal type can holders. Much more convenient IMO.

These Adventure Trailers units seemed to be the lightest and among the simplest on the market. Unfortunately, I abandoned the use of Scepter cans in favor of the metal NATO cans before I had a chance to try the holders with the Scepters...the bloating of the Scepters with temp/altitude could be a hangup. http://www.adventuretrailers.com/fuelholders.html

The AT can holders are great for some applications. I have two on my trailer, and they work well with the Scepter fuel cans. There is a little interference with the spouts on the Scepter water cans, but they can be made to work.

For roof rack applications though I was looking for an option that could be stripped down to be very low profile when you weren't actually carrying cans, which for most of us is probably most of the time. There are some nice options out there for the NATO cans, not so many for the Scepters.
