Scepter MFC cleaning tips?

Did some searching and came up empty. I picked up a used MFC and want to clean out the inside before I use it to put gas in my truck. Not sure what is the best cleaner to use that wont effect the plastic. I figure the can will probable be fine with most cleaners out there since it is made to hold gas. Any you would recommend? What worked the best for you? Thanks in advance!:sombrero:

Pour a gallon of gas in, swish it around, pour the gas out into your lawn mower using a coffee filter on the fill port to filter out any debris. You will be fine after that for fueling your pickup.

Kinda what I was thinking, gas can brake down most anything.
