80's have no character, but they do work.

Lol...

I'll work on adding the character...

Just can't swing the price on a no rust decent 62 right now. Seems the bubble on them is really swelling!

if youre passing on lockers the world is your oyster.

super clean grandma **** the bed estate 80's are gonna go for big bucks when the flipper gets his paws on it, lockers or not, but an "8 out of 10" with records ought to be obtainable with a little searching.

if you were willing to put up with the piece of **** 3fe/autotranny combo in a 62, just look for early 80's. one in the same condition as a later 1fze ought to be thousands less all else equal, and it will likely have a the poverty pack interior. (cloth)

The 60/62s definitely have charm, but the 80 is better in every other way. I liked my 60 and miss it, but I actually miss the 80 more - especially if you are talking a daily driver/road trip vehicle. That said, I think the 100 is even better for most people. But it really depends on what you are after.

If I want a 3rd vehicle/toy/camping vehicle, I'd probably search for another 60/62. A do-everything, daily driver I'd go with a 100 series.

But somehow, I wouldn't be surprised if I end up with another 80 series someday. While I think the 80 is the least attractive visually, knowing how capable and rock solid they are gives them a certain appeal. I still find myself looking at them when one drives by.

Good choice. :)

Thats debateable....the 4runner has ended up with some issues of its own! But I'm fixing them...slowly, and have already put a small lift on it.

Just trying to get this thing sold so I can get it out of the garage and start doing some serious work on the 4runner.
