Seat covers?

I have a 96 D1.

I have the Escape Gear seat covers. It's true that the Escape Gear covers aren't made to fit the seats exactly, but they aren't bad. Everything but the headrest is a perfect fit. For $400, I would prefer that they fit exactly, but they're still the nicest I've seen.

I'm sure they are great seat covers, but with a mismatched fit of that magnitude I wouldn't pay $50 for them.

Die them different colors, put some fake eyeballs in those slots and look like the ghosts from Pac Man driving around...

not sure if this is something you might want to take a look at, but i just picked up a set for my 4Runner a few weeks ago. they are decent for the money and I no longer have to worry about my wet dog getting the seats dirty. not a perfect fit, but they work well enough. I do have a headrest on mine so it does make for a tight fit, but the side cords help to adjust the fit.

All they would need to do is fill in the holes for me and I would be happy. The Head rest doesn’t need to be separate.

For that price I would seriously look into getting a bolt of sunbrella and having a set made. My guess is that it would be less than half the cost.

I bought a set of ballistic nylon seat covers from Cover King, this year. When I got them I was stoked. The fit was perfect and they seemed high quality. However after ~8 months, they are deteriorating quickly. Large fuzzies on the edge from sliding in and out, The seems are failing and straps breaking. I would not recommend them now

Mellville & Moon seat covers?

Not sure if there is a distributor in the US but these covers are fantastic also with a big price tag though.

I have them on my D90 and love them, in fact if I thought I might get them dirty I would get seat covers for my seat covers :)

They make them specific for the D1 too.

EDIT: I just noticed they are very similar to the Escape Gear, South Africa too! Maybe the same covers?

Look up Turtlecovers on Ebay. They make a nice product at a reasonable price.

TurtleCovers is in the UK so it's Ebay International. They make good stuff. I will putting some in my "sissyback" D1. Looks like my truck just got another nickname.....

for sure, I have had the 100% nylon covers for about 5-6 years now and they are still like new. I've left the sunroofs open multiple times and they held a pool of water when I got out there the next day. They fit very well and if these things ever rip or wear out then I won't consider another set.
