$39,000. Proven, fully converted to RV, 9 ton Forest Service hotshot crew buggy. 2002 International 4300, diesel. Located in Tucson Arizona USA. 160,000 miles. Not 4x4 but it has a part time locker in the rear axle. Air brakes. 85 mph top speed. 7 miles per gallon from two 50 gallon diesel tanks. Cold cab AC and separate doghouse AC, two compressors, both are run from the engine. Six (6) feet exactly is the headroom in the doghouse. 10R22.5 steer tires excellent, 10R22.5 drive tires good. Spare tire under the doghouse. DT466 turbo engine resleeved at 120K miles. 7 speed transmission, rebuilt unit, at 130K miles. Air-ride seats in cab are very comfortable. Air bag suspension on rear axle. 23 feet total length, 10 feet high, 8 feet wide. Short wheelbase gives this truck a very short turning radius. ABS brakes, exhaust brake. Maintenance is done by a tech who worked at the International dealer.
This truck was based in Angeles National Forest, California, and Tucson, Arizona. Rust free.
I have State Farm collision, comprehensive, liability, and uninsured motorist insurance coverage for $58 per month. This truck was never in a collision.
The doghouse has a rear door and 11 windows. It is constructed of welded steel with inner and outer steel layers, two inches thick in between layers, and insulated. Very strong construction protects from falling limbs. Rooftop 400 watts solar panel system charges 300 Ah battery bank to run the lights, water, inverter, fridge, and fans. Propane tank in side locker is for the stove, catalytic heater above the bed, and for the instant hot water heater (also in another side locker). Hot and cold running water, shower and sink drain to gray water tank. Cassette toilet. Refrigerator + freezer on long slide out. 120 gallon fresh water tankage. Shade canopy on passenger side. Window screens. Full black out curtains. The interior buildout was done in my driveway in 2016. New Queen size innerspring mattress. Large storage lockers and slide out drawers.
I will add more detail to this listing if there is interest.
Sold as is. Faded and peeling paint in places.
