Reading the camp chair thread reminded me of this episode.
The grimace is actually trying to get up with broken ribs rather than getting hurt going down, the going down was a slow process during the evening, but I mustn't ruin a good photo with boring facts

The story is more boring that what the picture shows.
Earlier in the year I had broken some ribs in a sand boarding fall. A few weeks later we had a trip that I didn't want to miss so I gritted my teeth and tagged along anyway.
Around the fire the guys swap chairs etc and later on I noticed that my chair was broken but I sat in it anyway. I sank lower and lower as the drinks flowed and the chair gave way more and more. Eventually I needed to get up but got a rude reminder that my ribs were buggered.
And somebody had a camera ready at that precise moment.
