SEMA 2011: Official Thread with Pics, Pics, Pics

JT Grey Racing has prepared another Lexus LX570 for desert racing. An article and copyrighted photos of the truck at SEMA appear here

Changes to the truck include removing all glass windows, filling in the rear window openings with metal plate, removing the tailgate and installing a spare tire carrier, lifting the suspension, adding extra-long coilover shocks, installing 37 inch tall tires, gutting the interior, adding racing seats and building a full roll cage.

JT Grey Racing and Lexus were last year's SCORE Stock Full Size champion, with four 1st place and one 2nd place finishes.

The Action Camper is a work of art!

Is the wood work solid hardwood/plywood or vener over a honeycomb based composit board like in business jet interiors?

This is Curt Hildebrand at SEMA doing an install of his new Mopar JK Long Arm kit. This looks to be one sweet kit!

So sad that the ActionCamper didn't arrive in Las Vegas in time to be exhibited at SEMA. I hope you can find ways to show it off to members of the 4x4 press who are attending the show.

Daystar has some new Fuel and Water canisters. Don't know much about them, just found these posted on another forum.

Is it just me, or is it that aside from just a handful new offerings and one-off's, this years SEMA looks like a case of "BNG" on last years goods?

James....not sure if I am getting too old or if my English is too limited, but I have no clue what BNG means.

That being said, I did feel like there wasn't so much in term of new and exciting products.

But on the other hand, the Overlander party at the house was a huge success...with many interesting vehicles on display

:)
