On the flipside, a few years ago, someone made a facebook account that was like, "SEMA Clown Car" or something. THAT is what I'm waiting for.

Basically it was photos of all the hack work done. You know, giant 4x4 trucks with single sheer shock bolts and no front driveshafts. That kinda thing.

today was a 1/2 day for us...get a quick look/feel for the show, look for a few folks we wanted to meet up with and make connections with new folks.

Huge thanks to Todd, Kurt and Scotty for the leads & contacts, we met some and make contact with others. My son Martin is very grateful for the help.

Lots more to see and I will do my best to grab pics of the good and bad
I did get one of the truck I want my 72 C-10 to grow up to be!
We have been rebuilding my Granddads truck for years now and someday it will be like this

Oh and we froze our butts off in the drizzle tonight but really enjoyed the Global Rally Cross anyway.

I have to admit that I haven't a clue what the purpose of SEMA is these days. I mean, I accept that everything there will be and perhaps should be a bit over the top, but with everyone trying to outdo the guy next to him, the vehicle builds have gotten so irrelevant that they aren't even interesting any more. It's really become more of a strobe light and custom wheel show than anything else.

Ah well, they did give us this gem this year, which just makes you question the point of the universe...
