I've got a set of four OEM Toyota split rims. They are in good shape. Located Memphis, TN. 16"x5.5" with the Regular Toyota bolt pattern.

Asking $500 OBO.

I'm pretty sure these fit all 40 series, troopy's, 60 series, 70 series trucks (landcruisers). Not sure about the 80's.

These are the perfect expedition wheel allowing you to change flat tires easily with basic tools. Rare in the U.S.

I will ship, deliver if the distance is reasonable, or you can pick them up here.

PM here or email at bryan.eder@gmail.com

Thanks.

To start, good luck with the sale. "allowing you to change flat tires easily with basic tools"- I believe this is misleading. Split rims are very dangerous if you do not know exactly what you are doing and they are illegal in some states. This product has its place but buyers need to be aware of these issues before purchase. Again-Good luck with the sale-I will now get down from my soap box

You are wrong. These are not the kind of split rims that are illegal anywhere. The ones you are talking about are the multi-piece wheels that were used in the 50-60's. Those were very dangerous. These are very different than the toyota split rims.

The split rims I have for sale are used all over the world on toyota's and are standard equipment still on the brand new 70 series trucks. Yes they can be dangerous if used improperly, much like jacking up a car can be dangerous if you do not do it right. But they are not the same design that you are thinking about.

That said, of course I would disclose all the possible dangers of these wheels to any potential buyer. Also, anyone interested in these wheels can learn about them on their own as well if they would like, there is a lot of information regarding these at ih8mud.com and elsewhere.

Please keep your opinions to yourself and do not post misleading and false things on other people's ads to avoid further damage to sellers. I resent you implying that I'm attempting to sell disguised ticking time-bombs, because I am not. Providing this kind of misleading information is hardly wishing good luck on the sale and could conceivably scare many buyers off for no good reason.

Also, it is a simple fact that split rims allow you to change tires easily with basic tools. I'm not sure why are you are disputing this. That is why they were invented in the first place.

I know you were just trying to help, but before you post comments like this again, please keep the seller in mind.

moderator please delete if you feel I have spoken out of place.
Im sorry you feel this way, I stand by everything I said-the rims are dangerous if not handled correctly, I was not speaking of multi peace wheels. This will be my last comment of this issue.

Yes, I agree they can be dangerous if not handled correctly. But I will post up later why the toyota ones are very safe. Am busy at work at the moment.

In the meantime Here is a good link about the advantages and disadvantages of the kind of split rims I have if anyone was wondering.
