So Lordtrunks and i decided to go do a test run of the "new" Mighty Max, we came upon a little rock crawl to a somewhat hidden campsite which was pretty cool. the trucks pretty much walked over that section.

Somewhere on the next hill climb one of my temporary bed mounts broke and the one in front of it was also beginning to break. So we decided to tie it down with some rope and head back. On the way back we decided to take on another optional little crawl.

This spot i once put the Montero on it's side just by picking a bad line, It's an easy obstacle on the right line.

Down we went and well since we've all driven Montero's up it before might as well take the Mighty Max up it as well. Instead of the standard line i decided to take at a little more challenging angle, first attempt put the passenger fender into the rock with no chance of dragging it through. So we picked another line, this one put the passenger fender up out of harms way.

So Lordtrunks then had to help me back on to my feet.

Only caved in my driver door which popped back out with a little tug on the mirror. I think we shook out the bugs, #1 make permanent bed mounts #2 get better at the whole clutch/brake/shift thing. We think I could have backed out of the flop had I been quicker with reverse, oh well. Now we know and knowing is half the battle G.I.JOE!

Well i had the bed mounted with just 4 little 1" x .5" super this wall tubing just so it would be in position for the wheel wells to be moved for the wheelbase stretch. I just haven't mounted the bed yet, i need to finish up the bed before the camping trip in January so i can actually use it to haul gear.

It should be noted that during the bed modifications i was still considering a flat bed so i didn't want to do anything too permanent or spend too much time mounting.

I also think i should inboard the shocks in the rear / \ so i can stuff some super long shocks in there. I think it should flex much better than it does, I've seen the same springs on other trucks and they have some reach.

Yeah I take it on the highway now. The shocks are setup one in front and one in rear right now
