That looks great! Can you go into a bit more detail on the FJC lift? I read (on the Innernet :costumed-smiley-007) that it doesn't net as much lift as OME...true? I'm all ears.

I love my 4th gen. I prefer the v8 though. From everything I read the difference in MPG wasn't that much so I'd rather have the extra power, and I definitely feel like my v8 has more than enough power to do anything I want. I think either way though you will be happy. Honestly I would have bought either a v6 or v8 depending on condition since their both awesome engines. The first thing I did was to take out the XREAS and install some bilstein 5100s.

Yeah...I'm still on the fence and if I should come across a truck that's clean, low miles and in the budget, I really don't care if it's a V6 or V8...heck, my other choice of vehicle is an LX470...can't get those with a V6! :sombrero:

my favorite truck I've owned so far. V8 is a plus to me as well. mpg is comparable to my 4.0L 6speed tacoma (both on 35's) I just wish I had 2wd mode sometimes.

That's correct. I didn't want a huge lift (and I also didn't want to pay ~$700 for an OME kit.) I measured mine before and after the lift and my net was around 1" overall, as measured at the center of the wheel arches and the receiver hitch.
.
That's enough for me to mount 265/70/17 tires which is what I needed to do (though in the picture above I actually had 255/75/17 BFG MTs which are about 3/4" bigger in diameter than the 265/70 BFG ATs I'm running now.) I did get some rubbing on the front side of the inner fender liners but the new bumper and trimmed fender liner took care of that issue.
.
My total cost for the FJC lift was about $350, or half of what I would have paid for an OME kit. And with the OME I'd worry that being that high I'd really need new UCAs, which would add another $600 or so to the cost.
.
The most expensive part of the lift was the installation, that ran me about $500 although that included the alignment. Have had it on now for 2 years and no problems or issues whatsoever.
