Good looking truck. Is that an Avid lightbar? How do you like it?

Thank you!! Yes - it is and I like it a lot!! I have some restrictions so no full blown winch bumper so went with this and very happy. More pics on the link.

NICE Tundra...!!! SO wait, the ST's are very noisy on the HWY...? your running the Copper MT correct..? I'm looking at the Copper ST A/T not the MT.

He's running the STT, you're interested in the ST. I used to have the ST on my Tacoma, but I really prefer the BFG AT/KO tires I have now. The ST was noisier than the BFG MT/KM-DT I used to use, and they rode rougher too. I love the way the ST looks, but those tires just weren't for me.

Correct, I have the STTs. I was saying that they are pretty awesome tires and are MT vs AT because it isn't my daily driver. I'm guessing the normal ST would probably be quieter.

I'm also working on getting parts for installing 5100s and camburg UCAs and an AAL in the rear. Should help a bit!

I am running the Cooper S/Ts, after having previously used the BFGs. I stopped running BFG tires when they stopped making the A/T KO in Load Range C and D. Load range E tires are just too stiff and heavy for a 4000 lb Toyota, in my opinion. The Cooper S/Ts are nice, but they are a little noisier than the BFGs.

That just means you need a heavier truck :P

I think the Tundra comes in around 5250

Very cool, I have a set of 255/85 KM2'S... I'm thinking for swapping over to the Cooper ST's. how are they on the HWY...?

I had 255/85 KM2s on the truck before these. I can't tell any difference on dry highway. Snowy/slick highway, however, these are much better, but they are also studded. These also seem much better on snowy/frozen dirt. I'll have to see how they do on the rocks. I'm guessing they will be fairly lackluster compared to the KM2s. I may just end up running two sets of tires.

I loved the KM2 tires. I tore the **** out of them and they never gave me any problems.

Interesting. I find my load range E BFGs ride better than the P-rated STs I had prior, and there was no change in fuel mileage or seat-of-pants factor. Are you finding the opposite? What load range are your Coopers? Perhaps this would be a better discussion for a different thread...

Tacoma 1.jpg

Here's my old Taco, unfortunately totaled 2 days after this picture. This was a 2013, waiting on my 2014 to come in.
