So here is a pic of my 2001 with the new 255 85 16 KM2's just mounted on 2014 steelies, been wanting to remove the 285 70 17 KO's!! I really like the narrow look but concerned on clearance near the top of spindle near uniball slug and inner edge of tires, I was thinking 1/4 inch spacers.. any thoughts? Also undecided on center caps..

I wouldn't worry about spacers if not necessary. That's plenty of clearance. Due to the geometry that gap will not change throughout the travel.

Looks much better now! I vote to keep the center caps, and I 2nd Kole's advice. Spacers aren't necessary.
