A couple new photos. I shrunk down my roof rack to fit better and mounted it directly to the rails instead of the factory bars. Much better IMO. Also installed 265/75-16 TreadWrights.

The rack?

Its a Kargo Master "Safari" rack which is made for a Jeep. I flipped the top bars and then cut it down. Now it is as long and wide as the factory rails.

Back when I had no money, I drove this beater all around the Boot Heel of New Mexico (90-93):

I bought about 10-12 OD green spray cans at the PX for $1 a piece.

I miss that truck.

I made final adjustments to my rear bumper and added license plate lights.

For those Tacoma owners with backup cameras in the tail gate:

I decided to place the spare on top of the rack ($450), rather than purchase a swing away tire carrier.

In the end, it came out cheaper and I have an unobstructed field of view.

If center of gravity ever becomes an issue, I can put it back under the truck.
