Throwing in my 95 4runner. 3.slow with 230k on it, but its got 4.88's so it isn't so bad.

Just swapped it from auto to manual the day before a 600mi camping trip, hitting both Colorado and Mojave deserts. No issues except i forgot to tighten a couple of bolts and need the proper (longer) manual rear driveshaft.

My 2013 TRD Off Road, purchased in June. I got a Fab Fours rear bumper in September courtesy of being rear ended. I plan on a mild lift, sliders, and front bumper with winch eventually.

Totally agree that it would be way to painful to scratch up a brand new 50G truck!
I die a little inside everytime I drive a brand new rental off the lot and onto the powerline roads. The central Oregon dust alone will never get out of the vents, let alone the sagebrush pinstriping...

great trucks. Really solid, narrow, and relatively light.

This was just after the 265/70 BFG KO2s were installed along with Bilstein 5100s set at 1.75 in the front with 1.5" Cornfed spacers and Airlift 1000 airbags in the rear.

This suspension set-up is miles better than the OEM system even with the tent on top and all of our gear.

A friend of mine made me an offer I could not refuse on this gem.
99 Tacoma 2.7l 5 speed with 234,000 miles on the odometer.
Here are a few lame shots in my driveway as I have not had it long enough to go get any real pics somewhere cool.

Here is my build.

Need to add a rack and come up with chain saw storage, mount my max trax to rear door and finish minor electrical work and do a few more tweaks. I am sure i will come up with more.

Put 2K miles on it so far. Today i checked the torque on bolt on equipment. I was please very little loosen up and what did it it was not much either. I will check again in 1000 miles.

Some updated photos of the ol Sequoia:

Believe it or not, the truck is on an old logging road that hasn't seen use in years. We were trying to reach the site of an old plane crash but got bushed out:
