I actually bought the frame with box on from someone else, its been a work in progress ,,, Slow progress over the past year. I will try to dig up some old pictures when I can get to it. I do think there is a build link from the guy who built the original frame.

That would be sweet but no rush!

Starting on this old thing.

While I want to incorporate the Coleman Switchback type build. The Eezi Awn looks very compelling. Here is my before and after lift pics (simple axle flip.). It is as far as I have gotten so far. I plan to work the wiring and lighting soon. I also have a set of 31's to go on it when my next junkyard expedition nets some Nissan 15" rims.

Big tires.jpg put 31's and sweeto sensatrak shocks from the yard. Very smooth and level ride on back of the truck now. This weekend I am designing and starting on the bed drawers and fold out kitchen.

Here's what I have now. It's the beginning of one, but it will probably be for sale next week. I should be getting a 4x6 trailer that will look better behind my CJ that a MJ bed would. The MJ bed would look better behind my XJ though. It's in SE PA if there is any interest. I'll post it on the forum if I do decide to sell it.

Like Elmo, my current build is an old utility trailer.

Currently struggling with the axle and tires. I really want van/trailer to have matching lug patterns Might have just opted for a 5 lug trailer and 2 different spares. Anyone heard of a 5 lug to 8 lug adapter?

So while building custom trailers is great fun, it has it's challenges.

have you tried TransDapt or maybe Eibach ??

just thinking out loud....

Very first post on this forum. Very surprised to see all this action on these types of trailers. I realize this is an old thread but I did a search on the internet and came upon this. Very good ideas by some on here.

I just recently bought an old ford truck bed trailer. Looks to be a 70's model to store all my hunting and camping gear so I don't have to load and unload it all the time and would make trips alot easier. I work two jobs and free time is sparse. Wanted something to keep in the garage, load, haul, use then park in the garage until I have time to empty coolers between trips.

Mine is beat to hell but should work. Was thinking of doing some mods and was surprised to see so many other like minded people. Very cool stuff. When I have a chance I'm going to post a pick of mine as it sits right now.

OK, I'll try it again.

Here's a few pics. Will probably change the shocks, add a couple of jerry cans to the front. A weld is cracked where the side wall joins the bed near the tailgate. I'd like to reweld that or put a 90 degree bend into a piece of flat stock and weld that in place to fix it. Other than that, all the hunting and camping stuff will go in it and that'll be it for the mods.
