Curious, that driver side CV seems to be the weak side. Did the rear driveshaft get hit? How did it break?

Awesome trip! Fordyce was one of the most beautiful place i've been, that trail is BRUTAL though!!!!! Made the Rubicon seem easy, we'll need to get back there again.

Thanks for everyone coming out and having a good time with us! great meeting Montypower his brother and Fullmonty. i'll get some pics up

Everyone is home safe it sounds like with there trucks in mostly one peice.

It was awesome wheeling with everyone of you guys. FullMonte and montypower, it was a pleasure to meet both of you guys and I hope to see you guys on more trips to come. We can include 2 more guys to the legit crew.

Pics and videos soon hopefully with a full trip report.

Yeah after my 2nd driver side CV busted, I'm definitely looking into some RCV's. As far as the driveshaft, I was doing a straight line but I was climbing a rock garden with huge and pointy rocks. I think I must have slipped and fell right onto one. After looking how indented my sliders were now, I wasn't surprised.

You did a good job earning that hat, i think you've earned legendary status this trip as well. I'm sure there will be Fullmonty stories for years to come.

Fullmonty navigates "Cadillac Hill" minus a driver side CV axle while being strapped.

Just some random impressions from the trip;

Rubicon was a bit harder, but Old Sluice is the new Little Sluice
Wentworth is a far superior entrance to the Rubicon, less traffic, great starting camp, longer and harder
With extended version of Con 3 days should be allowed
Fordyce rules as possibly the most scenic 4x4 trail in the US
Fordyce has sadly become the new buggy part spot on holidays, inappropriate and will have to be dealt with like the Rubicon. Buggys are making the trail ridiculous. 2-3 days must now be allowed for this amazing trail
The AZ crew is as bad *** a team as ever, and continues to become increasingly a close knit group
Rainier was a solid trooper despite being new and under equipped
4:1 t/case swap is an incredible upgrade

You might make a skid for the rear driveshaft. Mine is part of the gas skid.

Let me know what you find for cistom CVs. I may be willing to buy some if can get a better price.

Oh yeah, I'm getting all my skid plates reinforced! Along with bigger tires, rear bumper, etc..

I can't thank each of you guys enough for getting me through the two toughest trails in the Sierras. I am so grateful for being a part of this trip and I will take what I learned from each of you guys onwards not only on the trails but through my life.

Skål! (Norwegian for "cheers")

Can't wait for the next trip!

Should we make a new thread for a trip report or just carry this one on?
