St George

I am waiting for acceptance from the Games. I found out that I missed the registration deadline. I asked for an exception due to medical reasons. Hope to hear from them yet today.

I go to Navajo Lake quite often, hope to make it up there one more time this fall. Can surely meet you then if not the games.

Games

Well that was quick, request was denied. Too late.

I will talk with the wife to see when we can come up, most likely during the games so we can go watch, around the middle of the month of October.

Spent a lot of time resting up didn't yah?! Almost glad you didn't make the senior games as you'd probably harm your knees. Good wishes on the new trailer build. Is it for you or a customer?

Nah, knees are perfect, did 50 miles on the road yesterday, and 3000 foot of climbing this morning. Feeling fantastic, also doing 250 to 300 pushups during ride. Glad to have the knees working right and no pain what so ever. A little stiff in the mornings but after a mile or so they are fine. I have a customer that wants one in December now. So this may end up being his or Patti's, depends on the when the deposit comes. I have ordered the new doors, the water tank, most of the steel, just doing a lot of riding, getting back into shape. Plus I got honey do orders this morning. May go to Borrego Fest or take the kids and grandkids to Navajo Lake on the 15th of October weekend. Scott is tyring to get off for a few days. Will take the 5th wheel for that. Could run into snow at Navajo Lake.

Hey Bob
I keep tabs on your website here and there as this is something on my wish list. I was wondering are there any plans to update the "Trailer Models" page to show which features are included with each model? Right now there is simply a list of models/prices and a separate list of all features, with a note that not all features come on all models, but nothing to tell you what specific features are included in each model.

Something like this would be helpful:

Sorry on that. The web guy is not real up on this type of thing.

Rockpod,

Bare bone trailers, side door, side window, 35 gallon water tank, electric brakes, rear hatch, all running lites. That is about it. You build what you want.

Ouary Base Camp,

Spare tire holder, 258 amp hour battery, 35 gallon water tank, 6 gallon suburban water heater, micro wave, sirius/XM radio, rhino rack roof rack, Single Fox wing, either side, side box, two doors, Restava 8 inch memory foam mattress, two memory foam pillows, 26 inch LCD tv, two exterior lights, two interrior lights, 5 12 volt recepticles, 4 110 recepticals, 110 Marinco inlet, solar inlet, MorningStar Digital 15 controller, Progressive Dynamics electrical control unit, with 4 breakers, and 12 12 volt fused lines, Dometic Fridge, 2 burner stove, stainless sink with faucet and sprayer, quick connect propane, skid plates, 10(hopefully) grey water holding tank, jack stands, electric brakes, 2700 pound torsion axle, (THE EXACT SAME AS USED ON ALL NEW US MILITARY AND NATO TRAILERS) AC with heat unit, water tank monitoring system, 1 750 watt inverter, integrated steel frame, upper and lower, fiberglass siding, solid front and roof, no seams, two action packer boxes, railing for tie downs, two grab bars, solid enclosed steel fenders, for protection from rocks on inner side, all running lites, generator space, with tie downs and vinyl cover, flag holder.

Wolf Creek Pack

All above, dual Fox Wing, 6 man OzTent, wind mill, Direct TV with trakcer system.

There are more standard features on the last two, but those seem to change per customer.

No one has as many options, no one has an integrated total steel frame.

The strongest, most trailworthy Tear Drop made. Nothing is even close.

Chris Cole called it the best Austrailian Tear Drop he had ever seen. He was amazed by it.

Plus you can actually lift the front and move it around, yet stand on the back and not get the front to lift if you weigh 200 to 220.
Can be towed at 100 mph. Will not flop over on a trail, this trailer has been tested to the limits, my proto has over 19K on it and nothing has broken other than plastic lens, and the micro wave due to sliding out of its area. Have corrected that.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope to start on a new trailer this week. I have the steel, the doors are ordered, the water tank has been ordered, I have the electrical system for it. Some changes on this one, will give details as it unfolds. Working on the windmill set up for it and roof rack that carries kayaks

New Trailer

Honestly have not started it yet. Have been putting together parts and should start soon.

I recieved an exemption from the World Senior games, allowing me to compete in Mountain Biking due to past world rankings. The other events were not allowed.

So I have been training, pretty much non stop for the last month, riding every day, and an adequate amount of upper body work. I lost 2 years ago to a guy from Portugal, and I do not intend for that to happen again. I need to start cutting back this weekend or early next week, so should get on the trailer then.

I have worked on the windmill, and I think it is an option though. Fabrication and a solid place to carry it are the challenges.

When I had my knees replaced, I was told that it would be life changing, initially I thought yea, I will never be out of pain, but July hit and just one day the pain went totally away. It was the best choice I ever made. I feel 30 years younger, can do all the things I could at 35 including kip ups. Anyone in my situation, trust me, it hurts like hell at first, but the pain is worth it.

Those knees may be brand new but the rest of you sure ain't. Be careful out there.

Seriously good news on the final outcome. Good chance I may have to do it too someday. And good luck in the MTB race.

I have two rides this weekend, 30 mile road ride today, slow pace, and the same ride in the morning for time. That should complete the mass training, and be down to short rides during the next week. I hope to start the trailer tomorrow afternoon.

Sweet. If past experience is any indication that means we'll have a new thread started and at least a couple of layout pictures within another day or two! Can't wait to see what's different this time, Bob. Also, kudos on the bike training and good luck on the competition! Bring us some pics of that, too, when the time comes.

Sorry guys, may start on Wednesday morning. The wife has decided she wants a new Volt, so have been shopping no stop for it. Neat car, but hard to find what she wants. It looks like we will have it finished tomorrow, then I can start on the trailer.
