How much maintenance did they take? We are generally under 7k, but go that high occasionally. That was part of what I wanted propane for....

And yes the ply is nice looking! But sadly most of that is where the window cutout is.... Ill see if I can use it other places.

If it becomes difficult to start or shuts itself down, I would take it apart and clean out the soot. Easy to do, it just depends on how much you run it each day/ night and the altitude. Maybe once a year with moderate use.

Nice turns, you know its deeeep when you get bogged in the steeps! And the systems keep a rollin'!

Since its the time of the year it usually rains in the PNW, dry weekends must be used to their fullest.

I was in a bit of a hurry, so not too many pics.... But window #2 is installed.

Window #3, drill 4 big holes. Connect the dots.

Cut and fit interior panels.

Fridge acquired. They only had one left in stock locally so it was snapped up. Isotherm (made by webasto) 4.7 cu ft drawer unit, which will be nice as its under the counter top, no getting on your knees to see in the bottom shelf. Its REALLY nice.... But my wallet hurts. Its a DanFoss compressor, 12v and 120V, burns 429 watts/24hr on avg.

Very nice, Java! Like the progress! That's a nice fridge. Just out of curiosity, do they make chest gl freezers for RV applications? I always thought if I was going to live full time or extended periods, I'd like one to fill up with game Meat. Could double as countertop space as well

Im not sure they make deep freezers for RV's per say. They do sell just the compressor and cooling plate like used in mine for DIY fridge builds. I'm sure you could build your own freezer box with one.

Ok back to heater gas tanks.....

I am thinking separate tank again. After talking with one diesel heater mfg they said they will soot up much less on kerosene at higher elevations. It would be handy to be able to do that.

Im thinking maybe this tank (early CJ 2a/3a) its 10.5 gallons.

In this space.

However, Its ~8.25" tall, not including the filler neck (im assuming!) And Ideally I would get it below the horizontal body line. That is the floor level in the truck. So I could cut in a small hole just below that to fill the tank. Tank is also ready for a sending unit, which could be a nice touch. Also I dont want it to hang down too far, as I dream of cutting the back end off at an angle one day. 10" or less is ideal.....

The other option is an RV basement/storage door in that location, and use a 6/6.5 gallon boat tank there, I would be able to build a cradle there pretty easy.
